PANTONE® Color Chart, Guides and Books
PANTONE® has been known as worldwide standard to identify color with their Pantone numbers. Pantone color guides, books, chips and other colour products are made to satisfy the various colour needs of design and graphics professionals in different industries.
The color guides are classified into a few categories for different applications :
Solid color printing is used whenever a precise color is required such as in a logo or for 1, 2 or 3 color print jobs. The formula guide is an essential tool for graphic designers, pre-press professionals and printers. It is a portable reference for you at client presentations or on press runs. The guide covers with 1,114 PMS colors with corresponding ink mixing formulas in parts and percentages. The Pantone Solid Palette is offered in a fan guide format or in a ring binder format with 6 tear-out chips per color.
There are specialty guides focusing on metallic colors, pastels, or tints.
This process guide is an ideal way to visualize, communicate and control colors for type, logos, borders, backgrounds and other graphics treatments. It helps simplify the selection of process colors for 4-color CMYK printing. The guide covers a wide color pallet of over 3,000 Pantone Process Colors with their CMYK. The Pantone Process Palette is offered in a fan guide format (coated and uncoated) or in a ring binder format (coated only) with six tear-out chips per color.
This is divided into two different divisions, Pantone for fashion and home, and Pantone Architecture and Interiors. The Pantone Textile ( PANTONE® for fashion and home) Palette consists of over 1900 colors specifically for the Fashion and Apparel industries.
The Textile palette is offered in a fan guide format or a ring binder format with six tear out chips per color in paper, or a ring binder format in cotton with either non-removable cotton chips or removable cotton swatches.
They are widely used in the manufacture of plastic materials and products. This offers two types of chips, opaque or transparent. The plastic palette contains a full palette of 735 transparent colors and 1,005 opaque colors. The Pantone Plastic Palette is offered in ring binder format with removable plastic chips. Each chip has three levels of thickness, to display different levels of transparancy.
The PANTONE® Hexachrome colour System is a six-colour ultra high quality printing process which
reproduces an impressive range of more brilliant colours than four-colour process.
It reproduces almost 90% of the solid PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM® Colors as compared to about 60% achievable in traditional four-color process.
